Garnet Hathaway climbs 501 places, from 608th to 107th, when hits, blocks, shots and penalty minutes earn points. PoolForge recalculated the same 2025–26 regular-season performances for 612 skaters with at least 40 games, revealing how dramatically scoring choices can reshape a draft board.
Hathaway's three goals-and-assists points become 170.7 fantasy points. His 252 hits alone contribute 126. These are changes caused by the rules applied to recorded performances.
We used the PoolForge scoring calculator logic with these settings:

Every faller still gains fantasy points. Their rankings decline because other eligible skaters gain more. For example, Mittelstadt increases from 42 to 81.2 points while dropping 337 places.
For commissioners, the practical test is straightforward: two hits or blocks equal one goal under this setup. Review the resulting player order before adopting those weights. Managers should rebuild their draft lists around their actual settings; a points-only list can substantially undervalue physical contributors.
Methodology: PoolForge's verified calculator dataset, extracted September 11, 2026, at 19:23 UTC; source verification timestamp September 7, 2026, at 22:20:09 UTC. All 612 eligible skaters had complete required statistics. Season totals include all teams played for. Identical scores share competition ranks (1, 2, 2, 4); movement equals points-only rank minus banger rank. Movement ties use better banger rank, then player ID. Both rankings and all movements were independently checked. Calculator links restore scoring but lack the 40-game skater filter, so their displayed ranks can differ. This is historical weighted-points analysis, not a projection or category-league ranking.
